Jane graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1983 with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. Jane began articling with Arthur Andersen in 1983 and became a Chartered Accountant in 1986. She left Arthur Andersen in 1989 after specializing in the real estate and forestry industries. She worked on a contract basis for several small CA firms, taught accounting, tax and auditing courses through UBC and worked at UBC in the Internal Audit Department for several years and then joined W.P.J. McCarthy and Company full time in 1992 as the Controller. Jane has prepared and maintained all accounting and tax records for the McCarthy group of companies since this time.
