These associations provide us with great sources of professional development, ongoing education, and various professional certifications. We also greatly benefit from the worldwide network of like-minded professionals that these organizations connect us to. In an industry as fast paced and filled with change as ours, we believe our involvement with these associations and an ongoing education and lifelong learning are musts to stay ahead. Canadian Real Estate Association	CREA represents real estate Brokers, Agents, and Boards all across Canada. As members, our Brokerage and Agents are bound by CREA’s REALTOR® Code. This Code represents the highest standards and practices in the real estate industry. Through our membership, our Agents can use the trademark REALTOR® (which is owned by CREA) and have access to all MLS® Statistics, which are compiled and kept by CREA and their members.
British Columbia Real Estate Association	The BCREA represents Real Estate Boards and REALTORS® across B.C. Our Agents participate in the continuing professional education program administered by the BCREA.
Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver	The REBGV was the first professional real estate board to be formed in Canada. It is comprised of members from throughout Greater Vancouver. Our firm participates in the ongoing educational programs provided by the REBGV and actively reviews the research compiled by this body. We also cooperate with all members when acting as an agent in the purchase or sale of real estate.
Institute of Real Estate Management	IREM is an international association of real estate managers. This organization offers resources and education for all varieties of property managers. William McCarthy has earned the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation through this organization. Through IREM, W.P.J. McCarthy and Company has been awarded as an Accredited Management Organization (AMO). This makes us one of only two AMO firms in Canada and 525 worldwide. The Accredited Management Organization designation is the highest level of certification a professional real estate management firm can achieve. It is awarded to firms with Certified Property Managers on staff, and who have met a rigid qualification standard and portfolio size. Our company was first awarded its AMO designation in 1991, making it one of the longest continuously operating AMO firms in the world.
Real Estate Institute of Canada	The REIC is an association specializing in the education and certification of real estate professionals in Canada. William McCarthy is a Fellow of the Real Estate Institute (FRI) and both achieved the Certified Leasing Officer (CLO) designation through the REIC. William McCarthy is also an author and faculty member of the REIC and in 2009 served as President.
Real Estate Institute of British Columbia	The RIBC is a professional organization comprised of real estate professional from every segment of the industry. It is unique in that its members are not restricted in their disciplines of practice. William McCarthy holds the RI Designation through the RIBC.
Building Owners and Managers Association	BOMA is an international member based organization made up of building owners and managers. It offers education and information on all facets of building ownership and management. Williams McCarthy holds the Real Property Administrator designation through BOMI International.
Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors	The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors is a leading international organization for professionals in all facets of real estate and land. William McCarthy holds the prestigious RICS Fellow Designation through this organization.
Counselors of Real Estate	The Counselors of Real Estate is an organization of top real estate professionals from around the world. It is an invitation-only organization with only 1,100 members worldwide. This organization is a great resource for our company as it connects us to truly elite real estate professionals at the very top of their disciplines.
